DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT

After arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro / Arusha), your private driver guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation for dinner and overnight awaiting for your safari departure on the following day.

DAY 2-3: ARUSHA TO SINYA (WESTERN KILIMANJARO)

Early morning after breakfast you will be picked up by your private safari guide and head to Sinya. A private concession of about 600 square km, bordering Kenya at Amboseli National Park, offers spectacular landscapes with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok, a unique nature and cultural experience.

Maasai “bomas” are sparsely scattered in Sinya, with a total population of no more than 2.000 people living in a huge area. These maasai are still living the traditional way and are not used to the commercial relationship with tourists wich is common in more visited areas. They are spectacularly dressed and follow all the traditional ceremonies. This is a Community Conservation Project benefiting the maasai of Sinya. Activities include game drives, walking safaris escorted by Maasai warriors, interaction with the local maasai including participation in ceremonies if available.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast. Morning continue short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drives where you first encounter will be spotting large troupes of baboons. Lake Manyara National Park is a protected area in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park boasts a spectacular array of diverse terrain as well as plant and animal species. Established specifically to protect the elephant herds that have made the area renowned, the park provides an amazing wildlife experience. Elephants are not the only animals that Lake Manyara is famous for. Tree climbing lions are occasionally sited. A visit to the alkaline Lake Manyara is home to flamingos and over 400 species of birds, hippos will also be sighted. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late afternoon continue short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodge.

DAY 4: WEST KILIMANJARO TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up by your private safari guide from western Kilimanjaro to Tarangire. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet!

After extensive game drive in the park you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: FULL DAY IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Early morning after breakfast, you will embark on another full day game drive inside Tarangire National Park. Picnic lunch will be served inside the park and after a satisfying game drive, you will drive back to your luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs.

After lunch and extensive game drive you will drive to your accommodation for dinner & overnight.

DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands where wheat and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Along the way we’ll pass through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to see baboons, or even leopards and elephants in the dense undergrowth. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 8: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

You will spend the whole day exploring the park, its animals and incredible landscapes. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impalas, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The Seronera Valley offers lots of wildlife throughout the year including carnivores like hyenas, Lions, leopards and cheetah can often be found on and around these large rocky outcrops, as they offer a great vantage point to look over the plains in search of any prey, as well as ungulates including buffaloes, giraffes, hippopotami, impalas, topi, warthogs and zebras. You will have dinner and overnight at out careful chosen tented camp.

DAY 9: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO 

Early morning after breakfast, we continue with our en-route drive inside the Serengeti National Park before we depart to Ngorongoro crater. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our luxury partner lodges on the rim of the crater for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: NGORONGORO TO ARUSHA

You will be collected at your accommodation at the time of your choosing where you will be transferred to Arusha or to the Airport which marks the end of your epic adventure.
